Nicole and Shrad-rad are right... the ski industry as we know it is lame right now... it's all the same shit in a different year. When are we going to see something creative and different? Something that's out of the clone? skiing generates the same look on everyone...
I'm skiing in my jeans this winter... i'm sick of this. I may even wear Uvex googles too.. cause they aren't cool i guess.

i meant parts not shots....but i dont wanna be a clone of snowboarding. if i could change one thing in the ski industry it woudl be trick and not quality of the shot. all i wanna see in a movie is DOPE SHIT...thats what gets me pumped. good skiing. editing and raandom shit wont get me going. only creative urban shit, jumps, bc booters what the fuck ever as long as its good skiing. i dont care what they wear or whatever as long as the skiing is good

i dont watch snowbaording so therefore i dont know....i didnt edit the trailer either and the trailer is way diff than the movie. you cant do that much with a trailer that you can do with the movie. most of you guys know more about snowboarding than skiing which is sad

have you evermade a movie lcckid? its harder then it looks, considering snowboarding hasbeen in the game much longer then skiing we are bound to step on a few landmines whether it be of the way we are making movies or our ski construction. I always believe in expanding your horizons.

well I must say, I do make movies like that, but I don't add some weird name as though it's a company, and I cerainly don't add that godamn hippity hop music. I think one of the main reasons those movies suck is cause the quality of the image cause theyir made using windows movie maker and are all compressed to shit.

to those that are demanding creativity and diversity, yet plea for all these small cookie cutter moveis to stop. Shut up, please, right now, just shut up. How many musicians learned to play own thing by writing their own music from the very start? I dont think i need to answer that. Rome wasnt built in a day my friend, and the more small companies out there making videos the better.
These small companies are the ones that will bring truly drastic change to the ski film industry. It wont happen over night, but give the little guys some encourage ment and they will develope there own vision that could not come from any where else. i applaude plehouse for getting fed up with that alot of the crap ski movies and attempting to make better quality more artistic videos. Thats is great, but to really really change how a ski film is made you need to have a small company that has no fan base to worry about pleasing to go out and make something truly different. Like wicked.
I say grab your mothers crap video camera and start filming, because the only way anything is going to change is if you pick up that video camera and do what you want to do.
Nothing is going to change by you telling others that their videos are unoriginal crap.
If you want change stop bitching at the small companies making videos. Because no one is making you watch it.
how about instead of telling others how wrong theyve got it, you show them how to do it,

hey nicole actually you sound really unintellegent. By the posts you made u clearly know nothing about the ski industry and what its made of. First, level 1 is making some of the most progressive ski movies, secondly, level 1 started off like bogart, a small company. Why do i like level one some much well, maybe because they are creative and different. Just like bogart is, and thats why i would buy their movie instead of pleyhouse, or msp or anyone else. And by the way i wouldnt be surprisec if u we were shradical and nicole.... but ne how, why do you even care if kids post their movies. I post movies but its just to get feed back on style to see how i should grab and etc. I guess u wouldnt know that since you don't ski tho, peace out bitch.

first of all, i want to address your reference to afterlame being original. the segment style of afterlame is anything but new and creative. they did it very well, but the idea of location/session segments is far from new.
secondly, you just need to shut the fuck up because i know you couldnt possibly make even a decent movie, you probably suck at skiing, filming, and editing.
the bogart crew is a bunch of super talented guys and hating on them is just plain stupid. i love snowboarding a lot, but some of you toolbags seem to want skiing to be identical to SBing.

I would just like to point out that the 4 or 5 people on this thread that are against small movie companies and digital-cameras each have less than 113 posts, and combined know absolutely nothing about skiing, the skiing industry, the video industry, ns, video cameras, and probably getting dressed and feeding themselves. On the other side, everybody who is supporting, like bristol and tanaka, are known and respected on ns, actually ski, actually shoot video, and actually own your ass. So shut up, leave, and never come back.

Skiing Is Fun. but I'm sad that jibbers all fall under the same catagory or stereotype. why do they only care about getting tricks that would win a comp? everyone at comp's do the same run anyways. even ski movies are like cookie cutters making the same film year after year. how is this sport even where it is today, it sure doesn't deserve to be where it is.
I agree with shradical and everyone who disagrees with him needs to open their eyes. also get a desent comeback, my little brother in 1st grade has better comebacks
