Ultimate skiing substitute for the summer

this summer i purchased a 1997 kawasaki 650 SX stand-up jet ski.....and it is the PERFECT ski replacment.....for the price of a new pair of skis and equipment i got a machine that is FAST, agile, and FUN.....it accually takes talent to ride (much like skiing) and you can always progress with new trickes and manuvers...just like skiing......the only thing that skiing doesnt require that this does is gasoline, but at 10 bucks a day, its not that bad! anyone else ride? or am i alone?

naw, don't do stand ups unless you have some knarly waves around there. If yur on a lake or something like me, pull out the speed. For instance I have a 2004 Sea-Doo GTX 4-Stroke Supercharged Limited, that thing pulls out a constant 65 on flat days. Then theres the Sea-Doo RXT and RXP who can pull out 70, but since its a 2-seater, its scary fast even over ripples. So take yur pick.

i was watching a jetski race the one day on tv, and on the holeshot this crazy dude just gunned it and flew into this huuuuge ass wave, launched him over 30 feet in the air (no lie), and then landed and came back to win the race. at the end they asked him what that was all about and he was like "well, kawasaki wouldnt let me do the freestyle today, so i still wanted to get the biggest air haha" it was insane shiattt

if you honestly think that a trampoline is more fun, then number one, you have NEVER riden a stand up jet ski.............and number two, i would suggest you sit down, and over a beer discuss with yourself where exactly your life is headed

you can at least learn shit for sking on tramps...laid out backs are pretty fuckign sweet, id rather havea boat than a jetski, but that woudl be just to chill on

ok, i have both, so i WOULD know, not just pretend...and i dont mean to be cutting you down or anything, that last post was a joke, im quite chill with most people, and that includes you lax.....however, i dont think you appreciate how much stand up jet skiing accually improves your SKIING, and i was jstu trying to open ppls eyes to that, like the blance required to operate one of those is nuts, and when you start jumping and spinning and bobbing up and down with the machine your core strength is tested so much that after the first ride your entire body is sore.....i agree that tramps have DEFFINATE benifits, but when its 90 degrees out id rather be getting wet and getting better at skiing, which a boat cant do....however boats are awsome and nothing will ever change that.....i just wanted to let ppl know that it is an awsome sport, not try to cut into trampoline sales

Yeah man, stand up jet skis are the shit, sit down dont really take talent but you can air and shit on the stand up, I've only ridden a couple of times but if i had one, i would so rip constantly, and if you want lots of fun, follow ferry boats or any thing big, and just try to air off the wake, much fun!
L.J. rest in peace

haha yea jumping wakes is the a blast, but it hurts when you stand too far back and end up "in the back seat" and land going 30 mph with a 400 lb machine on top of you
