Whistler water ramps?

Whats up with the water ramps at Blackcomb. WHen I was there 3 weeks ago the bowl was empty. Anyone know if there going to be running soon?

they were recovering the bottom of the pool. they made it black instead of white because they want to attract more sunlight, so it's not as cold as it could be, seeing as it's filled with glacier water.

water ramps are one of the worst things to happen to skiing.

And yes, they are open now.

I think waterramps are pretty cool but I don't trust good skiers who dont have at least a couple gnarly scars.

Whats the process up there to use the ramps? Anyone know how much it cost? I'm sure its private from everything else up there, but I'm going up there in 2 weeks.

Maybe that color thing is right, but from what I heard from Shane Szocs, it's because the concrete was old and kept getting cracks in it and leaking, so they just re-did the whole thing.
