1. Aesop Rock IS the man. I don't say this to appear indie or underground, I'm not saying he isn't kind of mainstream, but his stuff is really good. Listen to some of his albums, and you will understand. you don't have to like him, but you can't say that he is over-rated.
2. Del is also not really underground...But come on, Deltron 3030, Hiero, Handsome Boy, His solo albums, they are all very good. Listen to: Proto Culture, Mastermind, Masterminds, Memory Loss.
So there you have it.

but Del on his own and with Hieroglificssusoedufj(sp) is pretty tight.
Aesop Rock...hes not for everyone, plus hes really ugly, like really really ugly.

common isnt a hardcore rapper like others..he is a socially concsiouse rapper and is good as what he raps about..he is in a total different category for aesop rock and deltron. OF course you wont like some rappers and will like others. That's just your opinion and i agree about jedi mind tricks..some of their songs are good..but they (especially Vinnie Paz) are very repetitive

when i made that profile i was in 7th grade, and yea i rode 163's. That was 4 years ago. And I would still rather listen to some old 50 than some trying too hard conscious bull shit, if wanted that id read a book. hip hop is not only for inner city blacks. Im white and i like rap. Im saying that those inner city black kids probably know more about whats real because they live it. They can actually relate to what these guys are saying. Thats the reason most of the kids who lsten to conscious shit are white, becaus they can relate to it more. I was getting pissed because kids are saying that shit like aseop is more real than say lloyd banks or someone. Hes talkin about shit like shootin up niggas cuz thats what hes been through.
