Replying to First cork attempt?

i'm probably going to be trying my first cork next weekend and i was wondering if there were some things to look out for? things that might be common that happen on first attempts of these that i should try to avoid...what happened on ur first try if you've tried one...i can do 7's good and 9's now...so i think i'm about ready. and i can do em on trampolines. so are there any tips you'd have or what did you do ur first try? thanks...
