Injuries

Yea so im just gonna have a little bitch about how much injuries suck. I broke my wrist last thursday at snowpark and now its in a fucking cast 4 6 weeks.

And now im bored at home and thought itd be funny if we made a thread where everybody tells of all the injuries theyv gotten skiing.

But more importantly does anyone no if its sweet 2 ski with your arm in a cast. I dont see any reason why i cant, i just figured id have 2 take it easy and be careful not to fall on it again.

Yeah man, a mate of mine broke her wrist last season and was skiing again in a few days. Im staying away from injuries this season, already did my heel and collar bone over the summer.

yeah, i broke my wrist mountainbiking 4 days before i went off to breck... i went to breck and hit the 40 footers there with a cast on. S'all good dude.

um i was tryin to gap the first kink of that up down box at the top of snowpark. i dunno wat happened realy but i mustof caught an edge in the slush wen i popped cos next thing i no im sideways in the air haha. then i just landed on it wrong. its sweet now tho, they put it back in place and stuff in wanaka and it doesnt even really hurt much anymore.

i was thinking itd b sweet 2 ski, wrist isnt anything u fall on much skiin either. the next time ill make it down 2 ruapehu probly wont b till mardi gra wkend anyway.

haha funy some one bought this subject up my mate broke his wrist and thumb playing rugby last year and he had a cast over his whole hand prity much. the docter told him he wasnt aloud to play rugby or snow board but he came up to the clubbies the next day with us and rode the rope tows he found it a bit hard to grip the rope but he worked sum thing out. and it was sweet

last year, i got hit by a truck, broke e left femer and right pelvis, semi paralised a foot, as well as flat lining it 3 times..... 4 1/2 months later me and me B were traveling round the sth island looking for fresh's.... Only thing is now when i go to hope on a plane i set every metal detector off...

fuck gromi. that doesn't sound to good at all.
hope all is well.

as for me i've only pulled a groin and bent a thumb back. and as well as a few minor injuries from the rails. nothing bad so far. tryna keep it that way so i'm in some form of condition for the states.

ARRGHHH i broke my collarbone second week of the holidays, on my SECOND run of our 9 day holiday. I can't ski for another three weeks, at the least, and I haven't been posting cause i didnt want to hear about what was happening in wanaka. But if anybody has the right to bitch, then its me RAHR!
Well anyway im doing 'mental rehearsal' and driving my family nuts cause they cant punish me for anything anymore and weekends suck when you cant ski. Anyway I hope reading this at least makes some of you enjoy getting out and skiing a bit more, and remember guys ski safe! ( although i didnt do anything, i, uh, just..... fell......... on some ice *o*)

broke my femur (not seriously) and dislocated my growth plate...

hahah, well i did my knee again at turoa on monday, nobody's quite sure whats wrong yet, doctor thinks its broken cartilage but hes not an orthopedic, o and markie if you see my mum, i did it while skiing normaly, not while hitting the park, atleast i can still walk and i might even get a couple of days in before it all melts

kneed two teeth out when hit the knuckle hard on table at remarks and crackd a rib on the vans C at cardies, both in a week. beat that

fuckin snapped my tibia (shinbone) into about 5 pieces! last week at whakapapa cause of that shitty pow and some dins that were over cranked.

so i got a full length cast on my left leg. and have to keep it elevated for the next 7 weeks or so. and can't ski for another 6 months.

that ends my 05'06 tahoe season before it began!
oh well hope the summers good here.
