You know that would be a great idea... if there was any powder here.

I'm really excited about technical grinds, 'cause there's no option to ski big mountain/powder here.

Unless you like to carve pretty turns, my mountain is pretty much useless save park. So for guys like me, I'd love to see as many technical grinds as possible. Gives me something to work on when you're skiing powder.

something I like to do is to grind normal rails but by grinding non centered on the rsil.
I mean, instead of grinding with the raill in the middle of you feet, you try to keep rail in front of the front binding. I can do it on PVC, large saure metal and wood rail but I never tried it on cicular metal rails..

i dont like these one footed grinds, grinds while grabbing, or stuff like taht, i would much rather see smooth slides wth hands down at your side, like philou. that looks much better tahn a sketchy one footer while holding a flat mute grab. i would love to see huge gaps to rails, transfers from rail to rail, 180's at a kink, stuff like that. my opinions...anyone agree?

I agree, the only reason why I do those one footed and stuff cause I dont have any other stuff to do on those easy rail at my mountain. I like to do both kind of rail, technical one footed and clean fronside grind, it is just that after doing 25 frontside on the same lame ass rail, you want to do something else, and thats how I started doing one footed.

Long live to clean fronside on weird rails!!!!!

a teeter totter rail would be cool. like in Scandalous, only bigger. the guy was already off the rail before it started tipping the other way. this one will be like 20 feet up, then 20 feet down. once you reach the center, you almost stop, then the rail teeters, and you slide the rest.
How many boots could three Phils fill if three Phils could fill boots?

My new grind I'm gonna try is coming up to the side of the rail on a kicker and throwing my back leg kinda sitting indian style and grinding w/ my boot and have the other foot out in front, don't know if I explained it real well.

Okay here is a new grind for everyone to try-

Tanner was dialing this last week in mammoth.

its a fakie 270 tailpress to unatural grind.

Watch him in the begining of his section in scandalous when he is skiing fakie down the long flat run: he does a fakie360 tailpress.

He is doing the same thing now going up the lip onto the rail. So he is spining (to the left) a fakie 270 tail press while leaving the lip onto the rail which lines him up for an unatural grind. Its dope as hell. If you really want to get tech about it, throw an un-natural 270 off the rail and ride out yellin- Where da bitches at!?!
