MSP makes MSP style movies.
There's a reason why there are different production companies.
Each company wants to accomplish something different every year. MSP is known for their crazy big mountain segments, and that's what they put out.
I got tired of MSP movies after the front line, so I stopped buying them.

Hahahaha. I've been around for a loooong time. I've been "freeskiing" since before many of you even knew what a backscratcher or helocopter was, and I've been watching this new sport grow and thrive. There's nothing wrong with MSP.
Its so dumb, you guys just hate on them because they are the biggest and most successful. Its so immature and typical, I can't even stand it. They are a cool company. Sure their movies recently have become stale, but go back and watch Ski Movie 1 and tell me you still hate them. Such a sweet movie!
Damnit, next thing you know people will start bashing PBP because they are too successful. Bring back the years when it was just TGR, MSP, PBP, Level1, Heavy Hitting, and Wind-up Films. Everyone was a whole lot more laid back and chill back then, and everyone supported the industry no matter what.

Level 1 is a relatively new company if you really are someone who's been around as long as you claim. I'm only just turned 19, and I remember seeing the trailers for Balance and being stoked on it.

I agree Level1 is a pretty new company, but not compared the huge wave of new companies in the last 2 years. And yep the trailer for Balance was sick. The song in the trailer was Sick Shift - Upstairs. Such a good pump up song. And yeah, i've been around for a while, I bought Balance when I was a freshman in college, that'd be 5 years ago

i have always gone to see msp movies. They were the first ski movie company i saw outside of warren miller. ski movie one was the first movie i ever purchased. then came two and three. Focused was good. nothing great. but all around good feel. last years wasnt to bad. but this years teaser seems exactly like last years stuff. nothing seems new. and to the man whose been around awhile.

good job emphasizing long, otherwise i woulda thought you werent serious. but since you knew what a backscratcher was before me, and whatever the hell a helicopter is. thats cool but since you grew up in that scene. im sure a majority of ns'ers grew up in the more recent scene guessing that most of these cats are around the age of 17 to 13. so they probably like more of the park and rail jibbing. thats cool too. but realize there rants are coming from the views that they have seen in skiing. just two different point of views.

i have owned every msp film since fetish...that was back when most of you still wet the bed...fuck most of you still wet the bed if you were ever faced with some of the shit they rip. It is sad that money has taken over the drive and passion in the industry, but to get better, you must spend more. Johnny D told me that everything he makes goes back into the next movie...basically he says hes working for minimum wage. If MSP has to shuffle riders around to align them with the sponsors that pay out the most, then so be it. Persay - if you paid $50,000 to see you son play soccer on a team and the coach benched him all season, would you be happy? so it works with the sponsors. So grow up, get a business set mind and deal with it.
Fetish is still my favorite MSP movie (c1993) because it was WAY before all this money bullshit...back then it was all about the pow, and fetish fuckin delivered the pow to the people.
