Anyone know anything about baseball cards $$?

i wana buy a lotta new shit for this winter (oakley 06, nithward, G5) so I found these 2 folders with hundreds of baseball cards for 1940s-1970s. I dont really know shit about them or how much theyre worth, but I remeber this guy at a card shop saying that all together it would be thousands. Im just gona sell them on ebay and my parents wont know or bother me about it. A lot of them are signed too. heres some of the imporrant ones i guess:

Better then on ebay, find a local card store. Just imagine the comic book guy from simpsons in a local card store, rubbin one out to your mickey mantle card. I bet you'd get a damn good deal locally.

dude if you seriously have a mickey mantles card sign you are in for a big amount of money!!!! don't sell it on ebay or if you do make sure you reserve is HIGH. What I would do is take it to a couple of cardshops, see what prices they would take it off you for, and then sell it on ebay with your reserve being the highest the cardshop prices said, that way you are sure you can get the highest price the card shops will buy it for, and when you sell it on ebay they will not have as trained an eye for imperfections so they might bid more, but regardless you'll get alot of money. You should keep that and wait some more and get even more money

yea go to a card shop and talk to the guy he'll probly say something like " oo your not going to get much for it so why dont you take this (x amount of money) and ill take the card off your hands" and rip you off, so search around, and also get a base ball card beckett its should have all the prices that all the cards are worth

^ the only thing about becketts is that they don't always have the much older cards, and the price they list is the card in mint condition, but they do definitely give you a ball park estimate, definitely get a book as well

i forgot about that mint thing, its been a long time since ive messed around with my card collection, i beleive that you can also send your cards away to a card rating place and they rate them on a scale of 1-10 and give you an un biased price based only on the condition of the card. so you might want to send away your best cards to that so you dont get ripped off.

Yeah I used to collect cards though and the guy I bought from told me how he sent a card in and got a 5 or something and was pissed so he smashed it out of its case, resubmitted and got an 8.

You can go to beckett.com, but they don't list how much autographed cards are. My suggestion would be to try to sell them to card shops around you, if that doesn't work, sell them in little lots on ebay. Make sure you get as much information as possible. You have a really good find there, and will make alot of cash.

Put a picture of the micky mantle on here. Theres one or two of them that r worth 5-10 g's just for the card.
You could also pick up a beckett book at a baseball card/ comic book store.
