Mammoth-June Mountain

So are these two completly seperate ski hills?
Are they trying to make June Mt. the nest Snow Summit? I'm pretty sure there different mts. but it confuses me. Are they even next to each other?
Help me out

they are about 15-20 miles apart. June Mtn. is just a few miles north of mammoth, but driving distance is 15 miles and stuff. its essentilly like an alliance thingy with mammoth and june

it is in no way like snow summit. june4 accaully has some sick terrain and powder lasts fro days after a storm. whenever the weather at mammoth is windy and shitty, there is a good chance that june is calm and perfect. june is usually deserted - you look out on a run and there are usually like 2 people on it, compared to the 500 on a run at summit. the atmosphere is sick, all the skiers and snowboarders are chill with each other and all the employees are super cool - giving you snowmo rides and anything else whenever you need it. the pipe is ALWAYS perfect with laser straight walls (eric rosenwald the park manager is a perfectionist freak) and there are always sick jumps with perfect landings. you will never have to waqit to hit a jump, and all the parks have good flow. pretty much june is the shit. parkasaures is gonna be there this year along with some big comps

Im heading out to mammoth for a week, should i hit up june for a day or something??


I thought the skis made you good. I got the skis and it turned out I was wrong. It must be the clothes.

go to jm2unbound.com and you can see a map of the mountain with the park highlighted. The parks total around 60 acres.
