it melts the snow slightly, but because there is other snow around it, it freezes and then creates ice

ya salt is the greatest thing for summer skiing. last year i used a slip and slide. it wouldnt work on the side of a hill but i nailed it to a drop in ramp and wet it down and it did the job but was quite gay.
