Decide which way you would rather do it (which way you want to turn, whether you want to do it natural or unnatural etc.). Go in switch with your feet slightly staggered with the ski which will ultimately be your leading foot on the rail a little further forward than your other ski and looking over your lead shoulder at the rail. When you reach the lip pop up and turn 90 degrees, keeping your eyes on the rail. I find it is important to lean forward during your 90 degree turn or else you will land on the rail backseat and your skis will shoot out from under you. Once on the rail, you know what to do.

thanks line, i tried riding into the rail scissored and it helped, i was on a ghetto ramp setup in my backyard, my rail spanked me hard a few times, but in the end i got it, i came in a lillte to the left of the rail then went scisored and carved on the jump, almost like a lipslide, but not really cause the jump was infront of the rail, anyways, thanks alot for your help, i love switch slides now they are soo smooth
