I am looking for something that will handle anything B.C but can still really rip in the park. I am also concerned about edge durability (I.E. rails) whadaya think?

I want to say ARV... but I'm going to reccomend next year's Public Enemy for the added durability factor. The skis you mentioned are all kind of heavy. PEs aren't THAT light but they're wide enough and soft enough for pow this year.

i don't want to say public enemy. i want to say MSP. they are tanks in the BC and can handle everything, plus they straight up kill the park. the public enemies for next year are super stiff and with only 85 underfoot i don't know why you'd use them for BC too.

^PEs were already usable as pow skis, and they're noticeably softer for next year, not stiffer. 85mm underfoot is more than enough for powder, 90+ is better, but he's looking at an all around here. How wide is the Salomon AK rocket? 86mm. How wide were the Pollards last year? 86mm. Both of those are good pow skis. Actually, come to think of it, add Pollards to the list.

I guess so. i flexed the PE's and they were the stiffest ski in the shop by far, but if you say that they're softer than last year, i'll believe you cuz you almost always make educated posts.... nevertheless, i just feel like there are better, wider, less stiff (relatively speaking) options that give him the durability and park ability he's looking for without compromising his desire to ski "anything BC." i'm probably biased cuz i ski elizabeths, and i think those skis are a testament to the fact that you can have really wide skis that slay the park AND give you madd BC options.
just a difference of opinion i suppose.

pistols are heavy. i mean theyre crazy good skis, but if you want a good park performer, you could go with the MSP or ARV. and the pollards are a really really good b.c. ski. really light. anyway, try testing the skis before you buy em. wait till this upcoming season.

You say Pistols are heavy and then suggest MSPs, which are quite similar weight-wise?? I don't get that.
Anyway, Pistols or Vicious all the way..or even Made'ns if you are man enough. Also consider the Mantras, but beware of the lacking tail tip if you ski alot of switch.
