The Panasonic will have a better picture with better colors because it is 3ccd, if you live inteh US you dont want a pal camcorder though you want ntsc, just figured i would make sure you knew that

PAL is the european standard for resolution. It wont work in north america properly.

Does that Pana have the Leica lens? If so, that would seal it right there, regardless of the 3CCD, which also should seal the deal.

just because its a 3 chip doesnt mean its better! the optura, although a 1 chipper, has better picture than many low end 3 chippers. i didnt even bother looking what panasonic it was, but just because its a 3 chip doesnt mean its better.
