i talked to someone from astroride which is a great alternate surface for sking and this was the response.

The owner has let me know that we cannot sell to individuals, only to
businesses due to the liability issues. You would have to carry liability
insurance in order to purchase our product, which would run you around
$26,000.00 per year, and then anyone that rode on the product would have to
sign a waiver. John, the owner wrote this to me:
"Our goal is to sell to companies who in turn will provide a facility to end
users. These companies will also be trying to protect themselves from
liability and will act as a buffer between the end user and us.
Not only will they carry their own insurance but they will ensure all
participants sign waivers, will ensure the ramps are safe and much more.
A back yard person will allow anyone to ride it regardless of age or
ability. None of them will sign waivers and our exposure would be too
great"
I am sorry if you are disappointed. But, I tell you what, check back
with me in 6 months and I will see where things stand at that time. Once
again, I am sorry for any disappointment this causes you.
