Dreads

My hair is long enough, and I was thinking abut sporting the Tanner, Jon, Mickael etc. dreads. The 'rubbing method. Anyone had them or want them? Let me know your side of the story. Haha, man I'm bored...

I basically have the same ype of dreads. Skier-dreads. Mine just started coming ontheir own. I bleached out my hair in August, and that damaged my hair a lot. I washed it every day, let it grow out. And when I wash my hair, I wash it in circles and it knots up a lot. The only problem I'm having is that it is uneven. The side of my head that I sleep on is a lot more knotted than the other side. I don't know what to do about that? Any ideas? I can't seem to effectivly force myself to sleep on the other side of my head.

Skier dreads? You guys ever get poo dreads? You know the little dingleberries that hang off your asshole from lack of a good wipe? Or you might know them as daggos! Who else gets daggos?

Well, if you're someone like me, with really fine hair, that is extremely straight, the skier-dreads look so much better then long stringy hair.

i have dreads and i used the rubbing method and it worked fine. they are a little better on the right side because my right hand is stronger. its kinda wierd

i still vote for the backcombing and wax. it has worked the best for me, cuz before i did all the wax and shit i tried lava soap. didnt work. bockcomb em. its worth the time it takes. trust me....

backcombing is when you make like a spiral of a piece of your hair hold it at the end and using pushing towards your head slide your fingers down the spiral, I did that with my dreads and waxed 'em. To me its the best way to go

Yeah don't get them if you wear gap clothes. Lets examine the history, 1 dirty norse/ irish scotish people 2 africans. Dread locks are rocked (currently as it is no longer an issue of hygene) to emulate the lion of judah.) For me anyone who doesn't blaze, can't define capitalism and listens to thug rap (tanner hall)and does not know who Ras Tafari is, is a fucking poser. This is just my opinion I really don't care if you wear abecrombie clothes and get them, I've accepted the fact that there are posers. Now you just have to accept the fact that, depending on my mood, your face is gonna be rubbing some fucking curb. (If your a cracka)

I have recently executed the rubbing method and right now i have the so called 'skier dreads', however I am going to keep on rubbing to give the dreads more form. The rubbing method isn't all that bad, it's actually quite simple. The only problem is that the dreads vary in size.

How did you get them out? I have my hair dreaded up using the rubbing method, and there is no way in hell that they are coming out, ever.

Haha. I had to trim up my hair because I had to get my passport photo taken (in case I travel this year). You have to look respectable in those phots. All well, I'll grow it out again. Thanks guys.

ive dreaded my hair twice now using the 'rubbing method' and at first i loved it. but after awhile they began to get annoying, and i hated them. so, i loaded my head with conditioner, let it set for awhile then i went to town with pulling those bastards out. ive been successfull both times without any split ends (just a little loss of hair), but let me remind u, it hurts like hell. after the last time i did it i swore to myself id never do it again, but already i want to try it again.
