i still really enjoyed the trailer though and berman is regulating with the new boom cam for sure

BK has a hard point...there's no doubt about the influence from Robot Food....with that being said fuck it...That style has always been around, RObot Food just did it real well.
Even older films like OStness style remind me of this trailer

i love berman's stuff alot, i just didnt want to get completly blown off by hte lauren bitch or whoever, beacuse anyone who admits their is no resemblence is ignorant. but it really doesnt matter, the film is gonna be ridiculous and no one rocks it in skiing like the level 1 crew.

BK is completely right. Ripped off Robotfood like a used car salesman. Good choice using Ratatat, as the song is fucking sick, but same thing there as it has been used before more than once in sport videos. Berman doesn't look hard enough for this type of stuff. It's easy considering most of the skiing community has thier thumbs up thier asses in thier basements on the eastcost/in the midwest, and have never been exposed to anything outside of Newschoolers, but Berman needs to think of his own shit, he is definatly talented and creative enough to do so. But he just doesn't. C'mon Berman, step it up.

on another note, the trailer was extremely well done. beautiful shots, extremely talented skiiers, and HD miniDV. on top of that H.264 compression. this is one of the best i have seen this year.

but take heed to my word or eventually more people will call you on it like i just did.

robotfood can't trademark things that occur in winter sports... have you never shoveled snow at someone or jumped off a booter?? i just think it's really lame (no pun intended... okay maybe a little) to look critcize over something so trivial it's fucking filler footage! you don't rip off your b-roll okay? sure there is a resemblance.... have you ever noticed there are a lot of things that resemble eachother in every single god damn snowsports movie? and honestly... do you really care about filler footage? i don't.

i just hate all the members of this site who come here and all they can seem to do is look for flaws in things... you didn't give ANY props on the trailer whatsoever. you said, or at least implied that l1p was ripping off robotfood. have a little respect and compassion for the sport. if you care so much about snowboarding go diss some people on snowboard.com

There is actually an argument over this shit? I've seen Lame and Afterlame and they're just a ton of sick snowboarders ripping it up, in a really layed back style of movie. That dosen't mean another SKI company can't make a similar feel and atmosphere for their movie. Yes, some of the stuff in Robotfod's stuff is semi-resembalant in the TEASER, but it's no big deal. I mean Level1 isn't heading to the same places with the same angles. They're capturing skiers and friends having fun building jumps and spending time in the backcountry. It's done. The trailer was sick.

yeah there is a big resemblance to robot food, but, a lot of the things in that movie are pre-robot food. the bird eating the food dates all the way back the technical difficulties, a really old mack dog movie. most of the stuff that you would think is ripped off from robot food, is just really creative stuff, which is why you are thinking of robot food

pretty sick trailer, but in all honesty, it didn't get me as stoked as before... i don't like the intros to people... i feel it took too long and that led to the anticipation for more chunks of clips... but it's like the stokage goes so high until the names and i don't wanna watch the rest of it.. buuuut aside from that it's freakin ridiculous.

Definately a pretty solid teaser. I don't think its my favorite of the year, just making it into the top 3 probably. I dunno if its just me but I feel like there was only a 1 or 2 tricks/shots (mainly the 630 japan off the up rail) that really stick out to me, as opposed to some of the other teasers thus far. I just remember when the strike 3 teaser came out, I remember nearly as many shots as I can count on my hands that blew me away.
