Help with back pains

i just got back from crew (rowing) at 9 and its about 11:30 now, my back is hurting alot on the mid right side whenever i lean into the right. i had a hard workout today, i donno if its just from being sore from that, but any help on how to fix it? any specific stretches?

usually when i get back pain from running, it's because my ab's arn't strong enough...perhaps do some ab workouts to build them up...or take ibprofen to mask the pain for now

Do a lot of strech while laying on your back, my uncle's a physio therapist, so I know a lot of his stuff.

It seems like your abs aren't strong enough, and your back too. You need to do some light back exercies ie; lie on your back, bend your knees(feet close to butt), then lift one leg up and extend all the way out. Keep the leg extended and then lower it and then back up, adn then back to the original position. Plus do some ab exercises.

I had the same problem, except it was with me for 3-4 weeks. So I went to a physical trainer and they put these gel electrode things on my back and shocked me good for 15 minutes, although it felt really good, it make my back tingle.

I been having back pains for about 3 months now, read a bunch on it and the only thing that works is physical therapy and core muscle exercises. Don't waste your time on a chiropracter. The only thing that will help heal your back is time and even after that you will still get flashbacks on your back. Just hope it's not too serious.

chiro's can fix you up for a session or two... after that theyre a scam... if you were rowing you probably just strained something so... stretch... if its like a wincing shooting paint kind of in a line... that sometimes mean discs pinching or slipping and grinding on the nerve

yeah exactly, i have a good friend that I lift with and all he ever did was bench, incline bench, decline bench, abs, dumbells, curls, and other chest exersizes. he never worked on his back.

he ended up having horrible back pain and when consultion his doctor he said the main problem was being too strong in the chest and not enough muscle in the back. so lay off the chest for a week or 2 and work on ur back.

lat pull down, in front and back of the head, military press, and we have a machine where you twist your torso, forget what its called
