.3x is a bigger fish then a .43x or whatever but that doesnt mean its better.. some wides and fisheyes make your shit look all wacked out

a .3x fisheye lens will give you a wider field of view then a .43x will

the number before the x just designates the ammount of zoom. For example 1x would be what you see normally .5x would have a field of view 2 times that of the 1x and so on... hope this helps

for skiing you dont needa fisheye, a normal .3x wideangle such as the raynox mx3000 pro will be fine.

but for skate filming and shit like that, the widest you can get is a century optics mark 1 death lense which is .3x with no vinegretting on a tv

I had a .43x fisheye (it's a semi-fisheye to be anal) and it was perfect for skiing. Anything wider makes you get too close, and with .43x you get a nice fisheye effect that isn't too extreme.

yeah get the Raynox MX3000 Pro I have it for my GL2 and it is sooo sick.

I live in a place far far away, where on occasion the telly tubbies will come to play....and that's when Ma gets out the shotgun. Damn critters climb in our gutter system all the time.

i just bought the opteka .43x hd fisheye

i dunno if im just slow or what but like for fisheyes and wideangles a .33x would show more than a .34x because it looks more zoomed out. .33x is further away from 1x, duh, so that means you will be able to see more in your shot. that's why the telephoto lenses are like 2.2x or whatever because when your at 1x on your camera, the lense makes it look like it's zoomed in 2.2x. so when u have a wide angle and ur camera is at 1x normally, it'll make it look like it is .33x. that's why a .33x fisheye would look a little extreme because it is taking in so much more space in its confined area, so it looks real domey. yea, i'm brilliant, i figures out sumthing most ppl knew like since forever

so what, its still avaliable on ebay almost everyday and is the sickest camera out there for day time shooting.


In the meantime Im widening my mx3000, all you do is buy a cheap sony .6x wideangle for 30 bucks, take out the 37mm ring inside with the inner concave glass, get some sticky tack stuff or glue, put it with the concave facing up in the inside of your mx3k, then stick it together, and bam: you have a siginicantly wider lense, with only a little loss of quality. I think it makes it even wider than the mk1 intermediate
