CANON 28 - 135 IS LENS

it is a wicked sick lens, i JUST got yesterday for my 20D the IS is decent, figure you can take maybe about a 1 second exsposure. i love the mf ring (you can mf while in af, and its much smoother and more procice when in af anyways. 135 gives you plenty of reach, and ultrasonic is quiet. seeing i just got it yesterday i havent been able to take too many shots and give you a good feedback on the sharpnes ect. but i figure i'll be using this lens a heck of a lot more than my 18-55mm that came with my camera. i found it off a google serch for $375 us but turns out i called them they said that i needed a metal ring mount for my camera for the IS to work, and what not and that was like $459 maybe i dont' remeber. but they hadnet even processed my order online wich is kinda sketchy maybe it was a bait and swich thing, but defelntly going to love this lens.

I'd get a tripod instead of an IS lens. It's useless for moving subjects anyway.

Dude you are definately getting ripped off from that place, don't trust places that pull that shit. B&H has that same lens for $409.95 and there's a $15 rebate on it. www.bhphotovideo.com
What was the name of that place that is trying to screw you? Cancel that order if you still can! I don't represent B&H in any way, I just buy all my shit through them because they're trustworthy and have the best prices from someone I can trust.
To the first guy, it seems like a decent enough lens for what you'll pay, and I think the image stabilizer is definately useful for moving subjects because I think you can switch between both horizontal/vertical IS to just vertical IS for panning and shit. Good luck.
