A few weeks ago I was out in nevada screwing around and racing my friend who was on a motorcycle. I was in a subuaru and hit 120 and then he blew by me going 140+ mph. The crazy part was there was alot of traffic and lights we ran. Went through downtown going 90+ in a 25 zone.

i got my eclipse up to 130 on i-25. there was a bmw 5 series in front of me i passed it he tried to keep up but i fucking smoked him. my eclipse has 225 hp stock. i plan on doing some shit to the engine but that car fucking hauls . when i get some more power i will be able to take anyone.

i just looked at the specs for a 2002 540. it has a 4 liter v8 with 290 hp. so its not that unrealistic especially if its an automatic

btw, the dhifting in an auto isnt done by a computer, its done my a series of hydrolic mazes, and pressure applied throughout them. and yeah, manuals are alwalys faster, cause there is alot less wasted energy in a manual than an autos series of torque convertors and clutches ECT.

yeah, thanks to governors. They suck too, because it's not just like the car stops accelerating once you get to a certain speed (usually around 95-115mph), it completely downshifts for you. Which is pretty much like slamming on your breaks, which could cause accidents.

On my mountian bike, during a bike trip in the gatinue (sp?) hills of quebec, i hit 107 kph.
but in a car the fastest iv been is 180 kph... i dont know how many miles that is. you can figer out the conversion if you want.
