You fail to see the point because you wouldn’t know good writing if it slapped you in the face.
Its shitty journalism because she doesn’t focus on the situation as a whole. Its more complex than a-he-said-she-said. Here is an example of better-written piece:

Mr. Bodley actually feels compelled to step back and look at the whole issue. He even brings up things that would not normally cross the readers mind. It actually provokes thought. That’s what good writing should do. Sally Jenkins can’t write.
You eventually learn to have an eye for good journalism when you read a paper more than twice a month.
