First off all thanks for visting my dv cams second of all I hope you are smart, and third of all i need your help as you may already know. I want a dv cam, I have looked at a few reviews but that didnt help much. Here is what i want out of it: High image quality, good vivid colour, good lowlight (and higlight snow conditions aswell),ability to ad filters and lenses, and i want to be able to play with the picture and tweak it out manually, umm anything else important for filming skiing, and all for the price of below$1300, or give me suggestions of good cameras i will be able to find on ebay for about that price. Thanks and have a nice day.

yeah dude. gl1 or gl2's are hella sweet but unless you're looking to shoot pro vid, spending 1500 on a gl is a lot to spend, especially because you'll spend 400+ on accessories (considering good dv batteries (Lith-ion) are like 200$). and you'll want to buy a good battery due to when shooting skiing in cold weather the battery dies really quickly. soo... unless you have hella cash to spend, i'd recommend getting a mini-dv cam. i have an elura 2mc (canon) and it's great, although it is a little small, like 3/4 the size of my hand, it shoot awesome video. and the camera right now, last years model, is only like 600. this years model, i think it's called elura 40mc or something.. probably be around a thousand. so yeah i'd check into that. go to mysimon.com and watch ebay for a while to get the best price
