Im able to do headband but im asking the question how many row and how to decrease for the hat.

wat I do is I knit a headband using circle needles, but then instead of doing a finishing stitch at the end I just keep going.
First of all, you have to knit one row, pearl the next, then knit the next row, etc.
Second, once you have knit and pearled 2.5" or so (with decreasing) begin to decrease 4 times, every other row. So for example you will knit a row, the pearl a row, but decrease 4 time in that pearl, then knit another row, then decrease again 4 times in the next pearling row.
Once you get to about where you head basicly goes flatish at the top, just decrease 4 times every row and you should get it

Be sure to always make it bigger than you think your head really is

and when you knit make it so whats gonna be the inside of the hat is faceing outwards and towards you, so when you finish you can flip it inside out

crocheting is much better, do that instead

you go knit 8, knit two togethr, knit 8, knit two together ect for the first row, then you knit a normal row. for the next row you go knit 7, knit two together, knit seven, knit 2 together, after that row, you knit a normal row, then a "6" row. do you see how it works
