hey guys im looking tinto getting this laptop and i have a couple concerns, first of all how heavy do u find it? its like 7 pounds and i really want to be travelling with it but not very often so yea can you use it on your lap, or is it uncomfortable? also how is the batterylife with the standard battery? I am either gonna get this laptop or the dell 700m but im kinda leaning towards this one cause of sonoma and better graphics the only thing that im worried about is the weight, well thanks guys, cheers

I have bought 2 of them so far for my office....for the price they are pretty sweet machines. The weight isnt an issue at 6.5lbs there are waaaaaay heavier ones. battery life is pretty good, I've gotten 4hrs general use, and 2hrs watching a CD based DivX movie on both the LCD and on the external TV out at the same time.

i hate dells. they're the fucking devil. the only laptops i would ever get would be gaming laptops, if not even to play games, they are just manufactured and tweaked perfectly.
But i know you dont want to spend cash on a high quality laptop, so the best shitty laptops out there are toshibas.

those are sexy machines you shood buy it jeff you wont even notice the weight 7 pounds isnt that much it is sitting on you lap not your man hood the weight shood be no concern at all just buy it so i can play on it

Yeah don't keep it on your lap a long time, mine gets way to hot, but whatever. It is pretty sweet for traveling or bringing to class with you.
