ok ok i did the searches but i just have a few questions, not because i want to call out every trick, just because its easier to explain to people what i want to do.
what is it called when you're on a rail, then you 180 and land on the rail again?
what is it called when you rotate when you are sliding a box?
Where do you grab for a phil?
When you grab the front tips of your skis, is that still a critical?
and now a couple snowboarding ones...
when you do a straight air and you kinda swing your board frontside about 90, then back side is that called a shifty?
when you do that same thing on a box is it still a shifty?
thanks guys, I just want to know these so next time im sitting at the top of the park and we're all talking about what trick we wanna stomp for the first time that day, I'm not going for 10 minutes... like, i wann spin kinda off axis, but flip at the same time but with my skis crossed and my right and left arms are kris krossed grabbing both my tips......
you know?
thanks and excuse the noobness.

yeah dre's got it. to go more in depth, if you're doing a switch up and turning towards the uphill (i.e. facing left, then spinning left, 180 degrees) that would be blindside, because you take your head off the rail in order to spin. same deal for tricks like 270 out, because you could do so with your head always being focused on the landing, or taken off to spin the other way.
stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Dre's right for the most part but:
If the rail your 180ing on is continuous, it is called a sex change
A butterr is when every you tail or nose press and spin around that. I don't know what to call spining on a box other then spin amount on box eg.
(270 on, 360 on box, 90 off)
those who can't ski snowblade and those who can't snowblade snowboard

^as opposed to a rail that isnt continuous?
So you're saying if you do a 180 on a flat its a switch up, but if you do it clear a kind or a down its a sex change?
