Anyone know how to set up a trace route or how to find out someones info when all that is known is an AIM screenname?

I'm trying to find at least an IP address where its originating from, but if I could find out more (like real name address, etc) that would be huge. BTW, this is for a coworker who's 12 year old daughter has gotten involved with a predator online and the police are also already involved as well.

I think (as with in MSN) the only way you can get and IP address with AIM is to initiate a file transfer.. cause i think messages go through a central server. IF you get one, go into start->run type cmd and then type 'netstat' .. that shows connections made to your computer...

has to be done with a file transfer though because that will give you a direct connection with the person. but once you have an ip address, that's all you're going to get without going through the police
