1/7/05 >> Whaleback Ski Area May Become a Terrain Park Paradise Whaleback Ski Area in Enfield NH has been closed since 2001. In December, former Olympic mogul skier Evan Dybvig talked about his plans to convert Whaleback into a freeskiing paradise for next season. Whaleback may become an all mountain terrain park for skiers and snowboarders with a 30,000 square foot on site training gym for year round skateboard and freestyle training. Another big plus for Whaleback is it's location right off Rt 89. It is an easy 2:15 commute from Boston and even closer than that for Nashua and Manchester NH.
