if youre bodyboarding, try Sunny Cove. its wedged between Blacks and 18th. its one of the best bodyboarding beaches we have if the conditions are right. also, try Baby Windnsea, just down from 20th towards the Point. the hidden beaches by the point are pretty good for boadyboarding, too. then, worst comes to worst, you can always go out at the point.
i'd reccomend, for your safety, only go out at the point if youre good and know lineup respect like a champ. and whatever you do, dont bodyboard the lane. you'll get your ASS KICKED in less than 2 seconds.
up the coast, though, at just tot he right of the lighthouse (if youre looking out at the ocean) is It's beach. if the waves are good, at the far right end Sabers is going off. Sabers RULES for bodyboarding. then further up (or down, depending on how you look at it) the coast is Natural Bridges, which is always fun to bodyboard.
right now the waves are on a lull. but give it 3 days is my guestimate. which has nothing backing it up. so dont count on it.
its been goregous here, if a bit windy.
have fun! dont wear puka shells!
guy at SkiShop SC to me: "Why is there sand in your bindings?"
"If you're alive, I probably hate you."
