its too bad... if those were any other of next year's skis I would snag them in a second because of the bindings and sell the skis... but of course, they are Salomons =P Poor Salomon, made crappy skis for too many years in a row, now their rep is down the drain

in terms of core skiers, yes, down the drain. In reference to your response: you commented about the X-games - that has nothing to do with reputation. Salomon throws a bunch of money at talented skiers and they take it. I would. And all the people you see riding 1080s have never ridden a pair of AR5s or PEs or Chronics to know what a well built ski with lots of flex and pop feels like. They just hear the main name of Salomon 1080 and they buy it

Martock... I love the sarcasm. of course that is a generalization and I apologize for that. But, I rode both 1080s and scratches and thought they were good skis. I then skied AR5s and was blown away.

Welp... I've ridden a pair of skis or 2 in my day, and I'm pretty sure once Salomon fine tunes the foam core, it'll blow wood away.
Don't forget, they're mixing chemicals, not lopping down trees and planing them
