Salomon candide pro

thinking about getting the salomon candide pro, you can see them here http://www.getboards.com/snow/twintips/salomon05/candide.html

anyone know anything about them. i want an all mountian ski but i don't want to sacrifice park ability. i'm also thinking about line chronics or armada ar5 or k2 public enemy. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i ski the eastcoast (ct, mass, vt, maine) and a little out west.

oh yeah i forgot to say that i'm 6'4" and right now my skis are 177s. are those too short for me? i dunno, they feel fine but i've never skied anything longer than 180s so i dunno what its like to ski longer skis. what size skis should i try to get.thanks

^ i can tell yout hat 181 wont be too long for you, that sounds about right actually. id say go with armada ar5's though, they should hold up better on the east coast ice

a couple friends of mine ski them and they say the skis are awsome at jumps and pipe. pretty good on rails. but the top sheets chip a lil but not a lot. i would recomend them.

every ski falls apart tho, east coast ice...ya salmon would hold up just fine!

not to split hairs, but they're 180 not 181, and sweet skis, w/ race lab bases. they hold up well and are light & poppy- get em

the PE is the best for anything outside of the park out of those mentioned, hands down. It is a bit heavy though...
From most reports, durabilty is questionable with the candides.

since you're such a big guy i would recommend the 186 pollards from this year. they are an a strong all around ski.
