Intel= powerbook g5???

does the step for apple to switch to intel processors make them any closer to coming out with a pow book g5 by any chance? If so, will they come out within the next 2 years you think?

no, the switch to intel means no more G5's at all. The "G" processor was part of IBM. but it could mean a powerbook as fast as the g5 it just wont be called that

shit haha i diddnt think of that...by will have the intels as good as g5 in powerbooks?

well first of all, they can't even put a g5 in a powerbook because it requires so much power and runs too hot for a notebook. intel processors make it possible for higher performance than the g4 without so much power draw and heat.

they will run pretty much the same (except speed). if you think about it, this really isnt much different from when they switched from motarola to ibm...
