Canon EOS 3 vs. Elan 7

so i think i'm gonna buy a new camera. i'm looking into either the Elan 7 and the EOS 3. obviously theres a bit of a difference between these two. i'm not a professional photographer, but a very avid about my photography when on vacation...would it be ridiculous for me to consider the eos 3? i haven't really done much research about either of these cameras so theres no point in being an asshole, just let me know what you think...

ahhh this is weird coming from the man who was never going to compromise his picture quality by switching to digital... If i rememebr correctly. The pictures you took from allover asia were great, but I'm not much of a photographer, nor do i know anything about these cameras.
