.some years ago, everybody was skiin', lookin dope, some dudes, some gangstas, everything was aiight..
now ,
it seems everybody wants to get the silliest gear and look ridiculous as possible and people think it's OMG SO RAD DUUDE!!!!
personally, i thought it was cool for a few people to wear the neon suits, or flashy one-pieces, (but really only the pros can pull that shit off) but nowadays, everybody is striving to have that look.
I.E,
the new oakley one piece. ugliest suit i've seen since the pukeshot..
why are people making a joke out of skiing? it's ridiculous. so many suits these days are either some variation of brown, or colorful camo, and it just looks silly.. what's getting into you people?

no I totally hear you, skiing is about style and what each individual's style is but the clothing aspect is getting out of hand, it's moving towards how you look with your clothes rather than how you ski or just having fun and hitting rails and jumps, let's keep it easy and have fun, that's what it's all about, shredding and having fun with your friends

i mean, these things just aren't original any more because EVERYBODY wants to do it..
it was just like stickers on skis. a couple people did it, it was dope, then everybody did it, and it just got stupid. it's the same thing for hair too. everybody is starting to grow their hair long, and greasy, and wear a headband, thinking it's WOW SO STEEZY, and ORIGINAL.

thank you very much, I wear my goggles because of wind and elements and I wear what I can find for a good price and that looks fine, I got a Salomon Jacket proform and I have Planet Earth Pants since I needed more than Siver's 5K Waterproof here on the EC. Too bad because I love Siver, also on a side note, I really don't like ski cargo pants at all, I hope they fade away

I ski a shitload, an insane amount of snow, i hike for line's, i throw 9's over 45 footer's and i like to look good while doing it.. i love sliding rail's, if i could whirly bird onto rails i would do it all the time, in my one piece. why do you guys care so much about other poeple? just worry about yourself. Im a bit offended by this thread its pretty sad. I cannot wait to rock my one piece, new skis, new boot's next season but im not going out an insulting people for whatever they want to wear or ski on.

i get shit all the time because i buy pants that actually fit my waist-size. sure they look a little bit tight but i get sooo much shit for it. same with me wearing a North Face coat instead of some siver cartel or orage coat. I go into the park and people just laugh at me, then i throw a switch 7. what difference does it make that none of my clothes match or that im color-coordinated at all? Apparently you arent a good skier unless you have good clothes, and you cant ski park unless you are wearing some fucking huge pants that you cant ski in, and some fag bandanna drooping from your belt loop

i never really understood this thread until now, and you're right people should just be how they are, i know kids who even try to change their style of skiing not just their clothes too which is ridiculous. i know my style will always be with baggier clothes and my knees always bent because its what comes natural to me but i say hell yeah to the kid throwing cab 7's in an older or tight suit or baggy stuff as long as its you.
