i don't think it is. if it were they would have gone for a bigger target. don't get me wrong, it's still a tragedy but i think terrorists would try to kill as many people as possible

I don't know everything, but it looks to me like it was a stress fracture ahead of time. There are like 10 people who check everything on the plane before it plys including the pilot. It probably wasn't hijacked because the pilot of the next plane in line said he saw smoke coming out of the engine upon takeoff.

well it could have been that terrorists caused a small explosion causing the engine to fall off, but if the plane was delayed that is why it went off so soon and not around the main city!

ok well i just saw on cnn that 150 of the people onboard were from dominican republic. If the terrorists really wanted to do damage they would probrably do it to a plane flying toward a more populus area than a residential area like queens. It sounds like it is mechanical failure but we dont have al the facts yet

it wasnt a terrorist attack. it went down 3 mins after take off. they would need more time to get to the cockpit, and make the pilot crash it than 3 minutes. it was mechanical, or just a retarded pilot.

it def. was terrorism at least in my view, the plane had been 'maintenanced' (spec. the engine) last night, the next flight it took it crashed, hmmm. Due to an 'explosion' lets not forget the guy who smuggled all that shit on a plane a couple of weeks ago, hey it happend. May the dead rest in peace, knowing that we shall avenge them.

ECFS - your explaination makes so much sense. So according to you if I take my car to the shop tonight for a brake job, and i crash into a tree tomorrow, my mechanic must be a terrorist. I dont know how i didnt see it before. The fact of the matter is that noone really knows what happened. It seems like it was an accident, plane engines are designed to break loose if there is a problem, because it can be devastating if the engine is out of balance.

The tail stabalized doesn't just fall off a plane, same with an engine. There are back ups and then back ups for the back ups. I would say that someone loosened them up before the take off but no one can prove that. Also if you saw one of those music tributes there was a fireman who came on and said something like 'If your so tough Bin Ladin come get me. I live in Queens, NY...' That is exactly where the plan landed.
