Chronic vs trouble maker vs 1080

i'm debating between these 3 skis. i want mostly all mountain. I'm worried the chronics are too much park, the trouble makers are "bad quality" and the 1080s dont have enough pop. I ski jumps, boxes, a few rails, mougles and groomers with ice in NY so whats the best for what i'm looking for?

ok. Chronics are not all mountain skis. They arent wide enough to ski pow, and they arent shaped enough to rip groomers. However, they are stiff, so they are good for ice. TMs feel better carving though. But it depends, if you like making big carves then chronics are prob better, if you like making small carves, tms.

i know you didnt ask about these, but consider something like ar5's or public enemies. they are both awesome for all mountain. the pe's are a little stiffer though. both carve super awesome. both are durable as hell. they look better (my opinion). thicker edges. get the publics. you wont regret it. more durable than tm's or 1080's, better carvers, ect, ect.

unless you want a ski that loses its edges on rails like theres no tomorow. Get chronics. Its got a wood core, which is something the 1080 cant say

depends on what you think, not what other random kids have to say. They might still be learning their first ride on box, you never know.

chronics are stiff.
TM's have a shitload of pop in them, they're good for carving, and good handling in pow except for the fact that they're too skinny for pow. Hell, I learned how to 180 off cliffs in TMs.
1080s are good, but only if you get them in a bigger size. Cause if you get them below your head or you weight alot, everytime you land in the backseat you are going to fuckin flip around and stuff cause they're wood are and very soft and floppy.
Heavy - Chronics
middle - trouble Makers
light - 1080s
That's what I've summed up from skiing them all...chronics didn't feel very special to me. You might like them, but I didn't. It's not like one ski is better than the other, it just what type of body ypou have and how hard you skis and what you ski.
Tms aren't as shitty on rails as lots of people say. They are pretty weak, but they're not going to snap off in your first month unless you're doing urbining or big gaps to rails and stuff.

^^oops I accidcentally said 1080s were wood core. I mean they are foam core wich means they break easier and are floppy.

the chronics and the TM are awsome, but if you ski anywhere close to agressive they suck most def.

here it is striaght up
if you are going to be doing any sort of rails, DO NOT GET THE TMs, get the chrons, you would be wasting your money with the tms if u do rails. If you are not going to be doing rails, the TM is a really fun poppy ski, really good for almost everything. But with that said, if you really want all mountain, including pow, may i suggest the chronic wides. Im leaving out the 1080s beacease they have a cheap ass foam cre that will break, and the chronics are the most durable skis out there.

to clear things up, chronics are very very light, not heavy at all. Second, they are not stiff. Theya re like mid stiffness.

troublemakers are good for the aggressive skier, you just have to get the right size cause the smaller sizes are super fuckin soft, wheras the bigger are stiffer and poppier
