Definatley utah. You could live for super cheap in ogden and get a $400 season to Snowbasin. Could be done very cheap.

utah is def the cheapest place to take a year off out west. It could get boring in SLC though. But the skiing there is mad sweet and pretty cheap compared to other places out west.

um alpineplease^^^^^^ just remember that if he's taking a year off then day tickets aren't very important, as he would def buy a season pass.

Also, it seems that Utah is good because if you can't get a good ski resort job, you could surely find one in slc and thats fairly close to many mountains

montana, ski at bridger or big sky, season for big sky is like 550 for under 18, or if u can convince them ur in the college u can get that price, and apparment would be cheap in bozeman

Definately utah, rent is cheap and you are close to everything and if you go out in october you can blow snow for a couple of weeks at night and get a pass to alta for all season. plus steal passes from your friends when they are busy cause places are chill and don't care

summit county (or close there-in). a season pass at $350 gets you unlimited skiing at a-basin (which is still open haha), keystone, breckenridge, and 10 days to split between vail and the beav.

you just gotta be able to put up with a lot of texans who think that breckenridge was created for them and them alone

passes in CO are cheap and you can get multiple mtns but you either have to pay through the ass to live there or drive at least an hour and three hours back in traffic. oh yeah and they dont get snow til late... so i'd go to utah. it was my year off and now i'm going to school out there instead of colorado cause it was so dope.

golden BC, crazy mountains, 2hrs from a international airport and 9 other resorts to choose from that are close. Rent a heated trailer in town get a seasons pass for golden and a super pass for RCR. sets you up with lake louise, kicking horse, nakiska, kimberely and fernie.

Vancouver has 2 good local mountains, each offering something very good. Seymour has incredible backcountry, and a decent park. Grouse has a pretty fun park. It's only 2 hours from baker too. Oh yeah, whistler.

I gotta tell you, montanan towns aren't very dope places to live in, I'd go for something smaller but more welcoming, like one of the resorts in the canadian rockies or in BC, Fernie, Big White,...

You could always settle in the Kootenays in BC, it would be fairly cheap but the park scene isn't too big here except Red Mountain has a farely decent park. If you like backcountry stuff and big mountain and steeps, come here. But that Alta Utah thing sounds sick.

park city is not that bad but slc is pretty good and u can ski like 6 resorts with in less then an hour u should check it out u cna get everyhting u want here as far as skiing goes

Its gonna be too expensive but there are bitches galore and if you shovel snow a few days a week in the parking lot you get a pass to 4 mts. OREGON IS CHEAP. you guys are sayin o go to utah or colarado, come on! around mt hood is pretty cheap, and Bend, where i live is really cheap compared to those places. Plus the locals are awesome and one of us will let u crash on our couch if u need it. Bend is killer.
