I could never pick what I thought was the greatest, but the three I listen to most (currently)are probably Meddle, Atom Heart Mother and Obscured by Clouds.

its between Animals and Wish You Were Here. Anyone who says DSotM or The Wall obviously has only heard those two albums. They're good, but no where near as good as the other albums. Relics is an awesome album too.

No. You're a fucking moron.
Dark Side of the Moon is my FAVOURITE. Yes, I own every PF album. DSotM is one of the best artistic works to be created that century.

Dark Side of the Moon is definitely the best compilation of songs.... The Great Gig in the Sky is my all time favorite...
i have: More, DSotM, The Wall, Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and Wish You Were Here...
A LESSON FROM A HARDCORE SMOKER:
if your really hardcore you can just smoke out of your hands. make a loose fist but keep your fingers together and pack the entire empty space in the middle with herb. then open up your pinky finger enough so that the herb doesnt fall out but you can light it. then just breath in from the top hole and ull get mad respect -eastar5

Breathe in the Air on DSOTM is the best song, i like all of their albums and most of thier songs equaly, and Shine on you crazy diamond is another of the best songs

Hmmm... much as I like WYWH and the Wall, DSM is still probably my favourite, and probably one of the top 10 albums ever.

DSotM is definitely a great piece of work, but right now my favorites are Meddle and WYWH.

man pink floyd is the most over rated band in the world.....everyone is all "their so unique and they are individuals" THATS BECASUE THEY WERE ON LSD HALF THE TIME....... anyone on that much drugs could create the same music as them.....maybe not as effective but u get my point.

I'd say piper at the gates of dawn or the wall. Or dark side of the moon. I don't really know. Whoever said that anyone can make the same music if you take acid is fucking tard. Acid is sweet but it doesn't automatically make you a fucking musical genius.

Drugs don't give a musician anything, they just unlock what was already there. Besides, saying that any band/artist who didn't do drugs in the 60s/70s/80s is essentially disregarding all of them.

my favorites are meddle and obscured by clouds, but wish you were here is amazing too, and to the kid who said that the reason they were so good is because they were always on LSD, please actually know what you are talking about because the only one who really did LSD was syd, the rest of the band only smoked reefer on occasion, it was mostly the fans that we're doing all the hardcore drugs, they never could have taken the grueling touring schedule in those days while doing those drugs. The scene was a lot heavier in the late sixties but by the time they we're doing dark side it wasn't at all.

The Wall Live and Animals are my favorite. Sir Holland you're a fuckin idiot, I don't have to give an explanation as to why you are. You could listen to a Pink Floyd cd in its entirety without skipping a song as with a lot of music back then. I still wish you could do that cause that's when you know that's a great cd.
it's a league game smokey

i would say the Wall, but i like the second part way better than the first, making it not a complete album for me.
This makes the best Wish You Were Here because all the songs are great and meaningful, and fun to listen to while stoned.
Money is the best song, hands down.

haha, fuck you, taking lsd doesnt make you an amazing musician and you should know that other than syd barrett who was only in the band untill 68' the members of pink floyd didnt do a lot of lsd, roger(who wrote most of the lyrics) tried it and didnt like it

O yeah, and i'd say Meddle my favorite album. Echoes is the best song for sure, that's a fact. I also love Ummagumma because of Roger's part and David's part.

David Gilmour is definitely a way underrated guitarist, nobody nowadays bends the notes like he does, my favorite solos are in dogs and echoes. Anybody seen live at pompeii or the making of dark side?

David Gilmour is a little under rated as a whole, because so many people thought Roger Waters made the band so great and while he contributed a lot (especially on The Wall) David Gilmour is still a legend.
