Yeah just a quick question - is it worth doing or practical in anyway? And where would one look for rides? Would the airport work? Any ideas appreciated?
Cheers

you have to go threw downtown van to get to whistler from the airport... so your best bet would be to just chill at the exit of the airport with a whistler sign (marker and cardboard).

A bus is not so expensive - but hitching can be kind of fun - meet people and travel for free - it is an adventure after all.

At least you wouldn't have to worry about getting back. Get picked up so easily at bottome of Whistler Creekside

If your coming from the airport with all of your shit your best bet is to just catch a public bus downtown and wait at the greyhound stop. I think it's on Georgia St. but don't quote me. And it will cost you like twenty something bucks

^ true,
But if you don't have much shit,
then hitch hiking is so easy there
From Vancouver go to Granville station, then take the 250 or 257 expess to horseshoe bay, from there walk across the bridge on the 99 towards whistler, theres' even a chair there for when you wait usually....
and you'll always get a ride, unless you look like a crackhead or some shit....
and it's free!
