what are the positives to having sidewall construction in a ski? Like the scratches, armadas, and p.e.'s. How does that effect the riding?
I thought the skis made you good. I got the skis and it turned out I was wrong. It must be the clothes.

If im not mistaken..it;s the same as on a snowboard, the strip (sidewall) is abs and it apply's constant pressure along the whole edge of the ski giving constant flex and pop along both edges allowing for better response and performance. It is also supposedly better against delaming v,s Cap constucton were the top sheet wraps along the side all the way to the edge. That's debatable in some cases.

Kevs right, and whats so special, is that they all have inclined side walls, so its lighter, and possibly softer. On the other hand if its made by a bunch of idiots(cough k2), it will fall apart, fuck up, maybe even delam

my experiance is that cap construction is far more durable, as most all of the sandwich construction skis i've owned have eventually started to delam
