I'm gonna be mainly skiing mt. ruapehu this season as i am based from auckland. (final year at school) But i'm definately heading down south (Wanaka, SnowPark/TC) at some point this year. the big question is when.... At the moment i've got holidays for three weeks in July and then some in september, i'm thinking the best thing to do is head over in July...
I would like to book stuff soon, so do you have any ideas about when would be the best time to go, and maybe cheap places I can stay. (in Wanaka)..

dude i reckon the best time to go would be in the second holidays. Cos your guaranteed snow, whereas sometimes in a bad season july can be pretty sketch. Also your more likely to see pros at snowpark because during July i presume they will all be hangin at their summer camps in America, plus snowpark seems to go off late season.. Haha thats my rant, but whateva time u go it'll be sick.

The reason i dont really wanna go in the second holz is because mt. ruapehu is at its best in then, mostly really sunny and the park is pretty good too. wheras ruapehu sucks in these first holz, and down south was alright last year when i went during these holidays

yeah seond hols would be best but spring fling mount rua rocks as well went skiing 3 days in 2 trips yea good dirty fun to the 26 year old lady who 'meet' me at margies 3 years ago i apologise for not tellin you how young i was
