There are five forums on the topic of the training facility in New Hampshire, whaleback. There are many rumors floating around on Evan Divbig's project. But, as he is one of my coaches at Stratton, VT, I have talked to him many times on the subject, as well as read the ten page business proposal.
He hopes to get the best training facility in the country up by winter 2006. He wants to have facilities up for both old school and newschool skiing. I know that this is NEWschoolers.com, but keep in mind that he was in the olympics in '98 and '02 until he blew out his knee for moguls, but he can still boost 7 foot airs in the pipe.
He wants to renovate the lodge and deck, build a 20,000 sq ft indoor skatepark as well as an outdoor park built by ZeroGravity Skatepark, which has much experience with their park already. He also want flybed trampolines, water ramps, a park, pipe, rails and a Mogul course. Most of the mountain has night skiing, including the park, pipe and mogul course. The park and pipe is serviced by a poma, as well as a double chair for moguls.
There already is a few forums on this already, but what I have mentioned is true. This will take time, as he is still in the investment process, but if everyting goes as planned, this should be the sickest facility on the planet, catering to both old and new.
