Replying to Possible telemarketer fraud?

i just told a telemarketer that i am a native inuit(not true) , and proceeded to lead him through an intire interview before telling him i am sixteen. i asked him where he was, and he told me houston texas. he asked me lots of questions about the evil wr grace case, and if i hated their executives. so i told him about my distrust of corperate fools, and the media in general (thats right, ns is the only true source of news!). then i proceeded to ask him who he worked for, and he said he didnt know as it could harm the survey. when i asked him about the possibility of that being a cover story for the company trying to get information about public opinion, he hung up. is it possible that he was lying? isnt that illegal? it was certainly the most fun ive had on the telephone in recent memory
