Lange CRL 80 FR or not FR that's the question...

After reading here on the forums that you all love the Lange CRL 80 FR, I decided to go for a pair for my poor destroyed feet. But it looks they're all sold out of the FR! So I tried the CRL 80 and it was comfortable but I really felt that it was really short which I think is really bad for landing too forward or back. They told me that the FR goes upper your leg...
What do you think about the crl 80 not FR? Is how much a boot gets up your leg as important as I think it is? Thanks all

if you can fit into a lange, go for it.

langes arent nearly as narrow as they used to be, so there is a good chance that they will fit. just make sure they arent too big, thats when you run into problems. the 80 fr actually has a lower cuff, as does the 120 fr compared to the 120. the tongue is a little more padded though, and they also have that worthless shock absorber, which is a huge gimmick. other than the heel shock absorber, totally sick boots though. such a better boot than the 1080s performance wise too.

I'm pretty thin, but I have some problems with my ankles so I had the boots I wear now deformed to fit my ankles... So what boot would be wider than the lange then? Salomons I guess... But I told you thy're out of teneightys, is there any other salomon that works fine for freestyle?

The xwave8 and the 1080 are virtually the same shell. There are differences in materials but the last and flex are the same. The xwave has a much better liner though.

thx I'll try them, do you know if it goes higher your leg than the CRL 80? It really seem too short for me... And now I have a lange L10, So its the same brand and it looked short for me...

No idea. I can't even get my foot into a Lange at all, too narrow.

if you have fat feet, dont get langs, they hurt quite a bit. But i have the 90, they are pretty good for everything.
