Inline skateing

i just started agressive inline a few days ago and couldn't figure out why i could land switch. when i'd do 180's i'd always loop out and land on my face. after a while i figured i'd try an unnatural 180, and BAM, i could do them perfect. i'm actually pretty stoked on the fact that on blades to land switch i'll have to spin unnatural because i think as soon as winter comes i'll be able to do shit unnatural on skis alot easier. has anyone else who blades had this issue and did it help your skiing?

are you landing with your feet straight? you need to stagger them. like usually if you spin left you land with your left foot a lil forward and your head over your right when you land 180....helps alot so you dont flip over

Don't lean forward as much. I think the inline learning curve is really steep. A while back, I could do 180's, and last summer, I picked up some old skates and got 3's in a day and in a month i could do all for 3's and 5's.

i cant take him[liam downey] seriously cuz his name reminds me of that downy bear from back when i was a kid -d loc

Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j

oh yea and when you land absorb alot with your knees...get low. dont stand up becaus esince skates are small its easy to flip over so when you land and get low your center of gravity is lower and you dont flip over

ok bristol your advice is helping me alot, but i'm landing on flat ground and am scared that as soon as i get on ramps and land switch i'm going to die.

yeah, blades is crazy. disastering on blades, for instance, is insane. jumping 15 feet and trying to lock your 2 inch h block on a rail is gnarcore.

Very hard to land of a downslope on blades...witch 180's and 540's over biggerdecks ( like 15ft) I always tend to loop out and fall on my ass. But more than anything rolling is about hitting the rails and doing drops. But I think im gunna do less now and go surfing more.

its funny because when i sakte in a park i only land switch.....im scared of falling back while landing forward...so basically i do like sw shit and land switch or do 5s or back in my hucking days 9s

yeah whenevr i rollerblade i usually do liek, k-grinds, ufo's, unity grindz. and like daffys and shit. its pretty much the most extreme sport evrr. one time i did liek a 540 heel grab in the parking lot. it was so sick.

why does everyone hate on rolling so much? like it or not, it has influenced skiing, but now that i mentioned that, i'm gonna start a whole new argument. but seriously, a lot of the skills transfer over to skiing. if you can land stuff on skates, with 4 tiny wheels to land on, landing it on skis seems to be a lot easier.

umm i can 180 both natural and unnatural.. but im having hard time doing 360s... me and a sophmore from my school skate every day after track... we go to our skate park and try stuff on the ramps but we both cant do the bigger ramps ( the 6'ft) with transition theres also a 4ft with transiton that we done a couple times haha ...

yeah blading so kick ass. i also have a really low pain tollerance and i was such a puss on skis sometimes and skating is making my pain tollerence so much higher and it is giving me more confedence when trying new things. so basically, everyone should blade because it kicks sooo much ass. and surfing is really sick also but that is un related.

it's so easy to do stuff, but so hard to land and twice as hard to give it style. Anything you can do awesome on blades, you'll do godly on skis, thats how it is for me anyhow.

2 days ago I did a hand plant on a 10 foot wallride, I wanted to hump Myself. Headin back to the park in about 3 hours from now.

(I think i have a couple wicked shots of me getting some airs last year in my media, check it out)

people should learn: talk aobut inline on ns and your going to get lots of negativity. i bmx, and i have no problem with rollerbladers. ive tried it, and it is way harder than skiing. if you tried it, feel free, but if your calling it stupid because of its stereotype, you have no idea what you are talking about. that stuff is ridiculous. someone should dig up that vid of the skater doing the 34 kink rail , that was nuts

I tried it out last weekend, hard as hell. It took me about 6 tries to drop into a 4 foot miniramp pipe thing without falling on my ass, and another hour and a half to learn to stall on the coping and turn around without falling on my face.
