Hmmmm
was thinking of putting my new Fritchi Freerides onto my last years salomon 1080 jf cusson 177s
Anyone else got a touring combo like this or any comments about whether this is a good idea?
Doing this would mean my s912ti's go onto my new 1080s

I've used alpine trekers on 1080s before, there are two problems though: 1) if you put you weight to far forward and slip backwards, like people often do, it's twice as dangerous becuase of the twin and 2) 1080s suck for the ride down.

Alpen: Alpine Trekkers and Randonnee bindings are two totally different things

i know this, but the concept is the same...loose heel on the way up buddy...same shit happens, slipping back is bad, slipping back is worse with twins

Who cares? It's all about the park dudes!
Wholesome girls are best
THey have something to grab onto and don't bang your pelvis really hard.
Anyone else like wholesome girls? I see lots of them working in chalets when I ski and it gets me going

Why wouldn't you use your new 03 1080's there wider than the cussons,...
And you trust your S-910 (Solomon) whatever bindings? say bye, to your knees...

because that would mean putting touring bindings on the 03's...not really good for the park

Exactly - whilst they can take a pummeling they are not designed for the stong lateral forces
hmmmm
Still going to do it though - Pocket Rockets and tourers work pretty well too

Go for Alpine Trekkers if you are going to be doing any backcountry hiking. Pop em out when you are done and ski down regular, its so much better than the other bindings.
