Scratch's and ice

Would rossi scratch's do okay on ice or are they to soft?

i rented some in whistler because they lost our skis on the plane. i thought they were realy nice, even though they didnt have any edge at all. i thought they were kinda soft though.

having a pair of fs's and living in wisconsin, i think i can answer this question from vast amounts of personal experience. they are not bad. not great, but not bad. if you are going to use them as elongated ice skates, i wouldnt reccomend them, but as far as the occasional icy day goes, they still ride nicely. i love mine.

^actually he said that they were fine for the occasional icy day but if ice was what he was skiing every day he wouldn't prefer them. i don't know why you're giving him shit.

i ski a good amount of ice and i have scratch fs. personally i think they hold pretty well. only a race ski, especially atomics which hold amazingly, is gonna give you real good turns on ice. and just about any ski that has a good sharp edge is gonna hold decently on ice. this issue won't be a real concern to you

depending on ur ability of skiing most skis will perform similarely on ice, especially if u use em for rails, so as long as ur a decent skier you shood have no problem at all with that.
