SSX on tour SUGGESTIONS

well if the programmers ever do come to this site it woudl be cool if they had a suggestions thread to help them

-be specific, dont say "make it like amped 2", say "smooth stylie spins should be rewarded more than a 1800 spin"

-read the thread so it doesnt get repetitive

-critque other ideas so the programmers will know which ideas are popular (start of your post with a list of ideas you like then add your own)




here are some to start us off:

they should make 50-50ing much harder than a normal slide

it would be sweet if when you did spins onto rails that it came up as "270 to railslide" instead of "180 to railslide" like in most games (they only measure by 180's)

someone in the other thred suggested they should make "GTA: Mammoth", i think this game like a GTA game or the new spiderman games should have a ton of freedom and you should be able to hike and explore the mountian fully

and of course liek in amped 2 i would love if smooth spins with style received lots of points, and i would love if somehow uber tricks didn't find their way into the game

SSX has never been realistic, and never will be. it's basically a racing game where you can do tricks with your car...er.....skier. just deal with it. 1800 spins are what define SSX.

You covered alot of my ideas.

I would really like to see it based like Amped 2(or 3...if the rumors about the game are true). Or even a T.H.U.G. style were you could unclip and hike around and move the mountain freely. I heard in Amped 3 you could get snowmobiles and also make crews in xbox Live. Making crews(like clans in halo2) would make the game sick. And snowmobiles freeride and driving to BC local's would be AMAZING.

If it's a ski game I would assume they would measure in 90 degrees instead of 180, because 270/450/630 are much more common than a 180 to 1 foot or what not.

Also continuing on the tony hawk undergound 1 idea, have a good story mode were you could start as a local guy, win local comps, and win your way and get photos/and movies along with comp wins(Amped Media style).

Incorperate as much licensed gear, skis, and apparell as you can. I'd bet alot of companies would love to help in the department, because we all want a game.

There's more ideas I just can't think of now. I'll write back later, or someone will just mention them.

Along with the nutting idea, make the falls and spins, speed, rotation, sense of speed, jumps and everything REALISTIC.

Get mabey some sort of mo-cap movements or a good engine on movements. Try not to make the speed going onto a rail equal to the speed off a 90 foot booter. It makes the game move to fast and dosne't give rails as near much emphasis.

Control layout should be very similar to Amped. Tweaks with the triggers, flips and spins all based on stick movement, not a set combination of buttons.

The ideas just keep flowing...

Oh, and another thing, I believe Gunnarson or Rosenwald(I think thats the great park designers name) helped in designing the parks and locations in the game. Try to bring them in, or some pros who could give great set-ups.

Urban is a must. It could easily be put in. Park/BC/Urban all need to be in their.

And obviously, a ton of pros in the game too.

Like they said before, have a big and smooth 540 be worth more then a crazy 1620.
Also, measure the spins by 90 degrees. That way a skier oculd 270 on to a rail or 450 off of a rail.

the one thing i feel like we absolutely could never have any impact on are the courses, ssx is known for its radical, fantasy course which are actaully one of my favoriter parts of the game

i love the snowmobile idea

ssx is not going to have any of these thing people have posted. the ssx snowboarding games were basically snowboarding games for people who dont snowboard. everyone should buy this game to prove that their is a market for skiing games so a company will come out with an amped like skiing game, ssx just isnt gonna be it

Yah, my comment about all this realism and true course design was just my wants for a ski game, not in SSX, theres no way some of that stuff would be in SSX.

basically amped controls in a THUG environment.
