well i wouldn't mind a paper cut on my finger, but i would mind my hand being ripped off...
i knew this guy who's finger got caught in a blade like that, except it doesn't cut your finger off cleanly, the teeth grab it and rip it back, and often your hand ends up moving into the blade too and it mangles your hand. well, it did to him anyways.

part of my safety class for my construction management major involved a slide show of various injuries caused my misoperating machinery. pretty much all the injuries shown were far worse than a severed finger. any safety measure is a good one

that is really cool, but I do think its funny that this is supposed to stop you from gettign hurt yet they use a hot dog in the test video and not a real finger.

it might also stop by sensing fabric like a glove, so if you where those, it might not cut you at all
