KD! and if you're in quebec try their 'crepes' they make the best in all of canada. But we don't have too much distinct food. OH AND CLODHOPPERS!

beaver tails are soo good. I havn't had one in years.mmmmmmmmmm. crap. now I'm hungry. poutine is great too, but it has to be made with quality ingredients. fast food fries just won't do. nyfries makes pretty good poutine. and salmon. not just canadian, but west coast salmon is really good if that is your thing. or lobster if you're a newfie

the only places I've ever seen beaver tails were at lake louise and in some market in vancouver. sooooo good.

yea, they got two beaver tail huts at blue (one's at the top of big baby i think - and the other's at vbl). never had them - but they smell good.

and where in canada you going? don't get poutine's from a fast food place - although kfc is alright - they got real cheese curds... just make sure you get the curds of cheese, not the shreaded cheader - that shit is grose in a poutine.

I just found out the other day that new zealand doesn't have BEEF JERKY or PEROGIES. I couldn't believe it. That's what you have to eat. My buddy just went back to NZ with a backpack full of jerky. Sour Cream is good on perogies...a must actually.

I think Jack in the Box is just a West Coast thing..although I could be wrong..there are none where I live but when my Dad lived in Cali they were there (good too)

I ski in Ny and all these canadian people bring foods over that are like the same as our but with different brand names

damn you get hyped over perogies, but so do I, so whatever. Canada's pretty multi-ethnic so you can try food from all over the globe but a must-try are Prairie Oysters. go into any restaurant and ask for the biggest prairie oysters they got. they're also an aphrodisiac, i know lots of couples that eat prairie oysters as part of a romantic dinner

beaver tails and poutines, but theres another bush treat most Canadians haven't even heard about.. they are called bun snappy's or something like that, you get two pieces of bread and fill them a type of jam, it had its own utensil, its like a waffel iron sort of but you squeeze it together and put it over a fire, o gawd is it ever good
